Keeping on Davos, CNN asks if Occupy and Davos are Polar opposites or future partners? What would happen if Soros and billionaire buds grew concerned enough about income equality to put their money where their mouth is. CNN also has a nice piece that takes us inside the igloos and actually talks to some of the Occupy campers.

Commentators, political pooh-bahs, and pundits, whether they liked the State of the Union or not, all seem to agree : Occupy is behind the themes of income inequality the Prez seems to be staking his re-election on as he tries to "shore up his base." OWSW (Occupy Wall Street West) protesters on balance sound pleased with the results of Friday's Occupation of the Banks which included non-invitation visits to Wells Fargo and Bank of America. While some decreid protesters' tactics of chainging themselves to the banks' doors , occupiers say they are necessary to combat injustice meted out by nation's top financial institutions. Call it Occupy Wall Street West or Occupy 2.0. The San Francisco Examiner reports that today's activities in San Francisco's financial district kick off a new phase for the movement. Businessweek (Bloomberg) reports that Occupy Wall Street has weekend marches planned, as well as a candlelight vigil to honor the spirit and tradition of Martin Luther King Jr. Examiner.com says major events also scheduled on the left coast. The vigil at Riverside Church at 120^th and Riverside will feature performances by Patti Smith and Stev Earle. Yoko Ono and Rap Mogul Russell Simmons plan to attend. Contra Costa Times (Video): Occupy Oakland Protestors try to enter City hall to meet with Mayor Jean Quan, and are refused entrance by police. Protesters called for the release of the estimated 16 Occupy supporters still in jail from recent police confrontations as well as broader rights to assemble at Ogawa Plaza.

Here are the latest developments in the Occupy Boston twitter subpoena case which UWS News has been closely monitoring. The Boston Globe reports that a Suffolk Superior Court judge has refused to quash the subpoena. According to Lisa DeCanio in BostonInno.com, the subpoena is in many cases asking for the wrong twitter accounts (for example @OccupyBoston instead of @Occupy_Boston).
