Online Organizing Campaigns is a multimedia news website covering the stories of people fighting for fundamental human and labor rights against the goliath global clothing industry. is an initiative of UNITE HERE to share stories of workers around the world who make our clothes, to educate the public of international campaigns where workers are struggling to correct injustices in their workplace, and to engage consumers and activists to take part in solidarity actions with garment workers against the multinational corporations behind the labels.

American Rights at Work

Since 2003, American Rights at Work has informed the American public about the struggle to win workplace democracy for nurses, cooks, computer programmers, retail cashiers, and a variety of workers who we all depend on every day. Their vision is a nation where the freedom of workers to organize unions and bargain collectively with employers is guaranteed and promoted.


Alliance@IBM is made up of career-minded IBM employees who are concerned about their future. "We are concerned about recent actions which undermined the retirement security of tens of thousands of IBM's most devoted employees. Over the last several years, we watched as management made reductions in other benefits. They sharply increased our healthcare costs and excluded many of us from getting paid for overtime. We formed Alliance@IBM to restore policies that value us for our contributions.."

Wal Mart Watch

In Spring 2005, Wal-Mart Watch began its nationwide public education campaign to challenge the world’s largest retailer to become a better employer, neighbor, and corporate citizen.  By connecting and supporting the myriad efforts already underway across the country, Wal-Mart Watch serves as a catalyst for coordinated action, a fact-based presence on the truths about Wal-Mart’s business model, and the nation’s premiere online resource center for Wal-Mart educational tools.
